Here's what the real people (as opposed to androids programmed by national television and mass marketing-
or the robots who eat old people's medicine for fuel) have to say about Lantto & Lantto 2004 for Presidents.
Brian Van De Car
of Charlevoix, now on his "4 Coasts of Michigan Hobo Tour 2003" with a van full of
instruments and a mouthful of social change says: "The political views expressed by the Lantto & Lantto campaign
are not necessarily those of Brian VanDeCar or his affiliates. This official endorsement is not an endorsement or encouragement
of politics, political action, or any political party; this is just an endorsement of a couple Lantto's taking the world's
well being into their own hands and doing something about it on their own, with their own resources. This message has
been brought to you by the Spot the Dog for President Campaign.
Julie Harrison
of Ann Arbor, Michigan writes: "i think it's a fabulous thing what you're doing and you have my full
support, i'll try to help in any way possible - people need to WAKE UP!"
SARI BROWN: Sending good energy your way. Think
about peaches and trees. Love, love, love.
Taraka Das,
a producer of Chicago's TV19 replied: "Let's try to organize a campaign
rally in Chicago. I want to put it on TV. Hope you have good speeches!"
Brian L. Adams-Thies,
PhD Candidate-Cultural Anthropology at the University of Arizona eagerly emailed: "You two are awesome!"
meanwhile...
Tom Laverty, a musician currently residing in Marquette stresses: "I
don't know why you're not going to Detroit. I also think you should just get over it and do something to rejoice
in the fact that you are okay with the world, cause the world is not gonna change for you, me or anyone, you've gotta let
it be what it is do your thing. Very honorable though, your quest. Try not to TELL people things, let them tell YOU
things." Thank
you Tom. We'll keep your words in mind (see, we really do listen...) Check out Tom's bands

Rich Bourgeois: In a way you are off to join a shortened
- domestic version of the "Peace Corps". If Dennis Kucinich makes it -you should be a shoo in for the Peace Academy.
Let me and CPJ know how your trip goes - you are an inspiration to us stay at home Peace & Justice activists.
Miriam Biber a fellow activist: Talk to as many different
types of people, incorporate an element of ritual, let people know what you're doing along the way b/c you never know when
someone could help you out & show your final product with lots of folks.
Zubin Poorooshasb: I read your article and it was
solid. It was great because you managed to convince of me the questions and concerns you raised without making me want
to tell you to get a job or without making me suspect that your were a hippie with a lot of misplaced angst. I am so
excited about your trip! I don't know if its my optimism or romanticism, but I think this trip is going to be a total
success in about a million different ways.
Dave Taylor & Seth Bernard
onstage @ Earthwork Harvest Festival: We would like to announce
our official endorsement of Lantto & Lantto for Co-Presidents! Maybe they could come up here and explain their campaign....
Alex Christopher of the comedy show, The Ride: I hope
the road trip goes well--it sounds like it will be quite an experience (although I must admit, I'm not sure I can really imagine
what a political roadtrip with Lanni Lantto whose platform is love, involving a video camera would be like...I'm intrigued,
yet a little frightened).
Erin Price: What you are doing is extremely important.
continue to reach out to people, and you can make a difference! i will be here, battling it out in the chicago. may
the force be with you!
Erin is awesome! She attends rallies with her camera ready and documents them on her website!
Go there!
Chester Guinn: I think I can speak for
the active peace community of Iowa in welcoming you to our state.
Marty Z: I get
the sense that eventually you'll write a script about it and some buddy movie will be made about it.
Kaite: let me just say wow.
again and again, i am so blessed to be guided to miracles every day. running into you at the pizza schmizza and discovering
your connection to seth and hearing your songs and meeting everyone there. it was so perfect. i wish you gals the best on
your travels around the country. be strong. be safe.
Matt: I can get my squad of activists on it.
Seriously, I can have 100 letters written by Friday. (On getting the word out about the police brutality in Miami)
CAROLE: It occurred
to me that change does only occur (like you said) when someone really feels loved. It is a rare person who, just
knowing they are loved by God, is truly content and therefore not into the greed and violence that stains this world.
It also occured to me that change has to come with the young people--in the formative years. Adults are a hard act to
change and unless they have some divine revelation, I dont know if talking to them will help.
Troy T: Hope the travels are going well, always be
a traveller, not a tourist wherever you go! Peace, love, harmony, and happiness.
Andy L: It's great to make these connections and realize that there really are lots of other loving, positive,
courageous loudmouths like me out there who are not willing to sit by as the country, world, and planet is stolen from under
our noses.
