October 24
San Francisco, California
Halloween: Castro District
Meeting up with cousin Amy, Mariah, and Casey for a spooky break from politics and enjoy some cross dressing craziness.
October 31
Fort Bennings, Georgia
Peace Vigil to close SOA/WHISC
Over 10,000 people will converge on this fort at the end of 185S with hopes to shut down the School of Americas (now known as Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation- new dull name for same killing methods).  The SOA has trained soldiers who go on to become murdering & raping machines who overthrow democratically elected governments in latin america for the benefit of US foreign policy.  Really, this is no joke, Manuel Noriega is one- check out School of Americas Watch on the internet. We will have a funeral procession for all those who have died or disappeared b/c of this terrorist institution and some protestors will be arrested for stepping on to "their private territory'.
November 21-23

Washington, DC
The White House
We haven't decided yet, but I'm sure it'll be loud and annoying, non-violent and peaceful.  I`m sure it will only be snapping a photo (of all the tourists there gauking at a rich man`s loaner house) because we are easily intimidated by the men carrying huge black guns.

1600 Pennsylvania Ave
November 30

Guerrilla Poetry Insurgency
A great group of local DCers will be out in the frigid cold with a hand-held microphone spouting their grassroots poetry & song.  All over the country events like this are taking place and it`s incredibly encouraging!

Dupont Circle Fountain 6:30pm

December 1
Long Island, New York
Bill of Rights Defense Committee
Defending our Liberties Against the Patriot Act.  Planning civic actions to repeal the Patriot Act.

Cinema Arts Centre

The Daily Show
A friendly voice answered the phone and asked if I was from Canada.  The next thing we knew, we were sitting in the audience asking John Stewart why he didn`t have more female correspondants!  Thank you Orlando for the VIP tickets on short notice!

513 W. 54th St
Manhattan  5:15pm

December 9
The Perfect Fit
Plucked off the streets of Times Square by Ilene, we danced a jig for this indy film!  Lanni is shoved out of the way in 2 different scenes while Sara dances next to two lesbians.  Oh, most of the people there agreed to vote NO Bush!

Club Sibera
December 10
Military Families Speak Out
Sponsored by Global Exchange, families of children serving in Iraq speak out against the war as well as Vietnam Veterans.

United Methodist Church
Washington Square Park & 4th Ave
7pm

December 11

Ottawa, Ontario
Parliament Hill

It`s only fair after visiting the White House & being in the capitol city of Canada, that we see their parliament buildings.  Not so many men with black guns roaming around...The only building that is fenced in & unwelcoming is the US Embassy.

Dissent is Patriotic!
